Bunraku Puppets

Posted by: Ashleigh on: February 5, 2008

During my first couple of Theatre Arts lessons, Bunraku Puppets have been the main focus. I am just starting my research into the Japanese puppets, but I find them to be very interesting, and I am looking forward to learning more about them, and trying to make a Bunraku Puppet of my own. In the video I have included on this blog, I find it amazing how the puppets look so life-like. It’s incredible! Watching videos, and looking at images, even reading about the Bunraku Puppets makes me appreciate how much work, and time is put into making the puppets, and learning how to master them.

As I do more research into these puppets, I will post more entries about what I find.
